First Customs Clearance Offer

This promotional offer is provided by Seacan Brokers & Forwarders Inc. (“Seacan”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) and is subject to the following Terms and Conditions. By participating in this promotion, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, as well as our general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy available on our website.

1. Offer Description

Eligible new customers may receive one (1) free customs declaration for their first import shipment cleared by Seacan Brokers & Forwarders Inc.

This offer applies to brokerage service fees only and does not include government duties and taxes, disbursements, storage, exams, port charges, carrier fees, or any third-party costs.

2. Eligibility

This offer is available to:

  • New clients only (customers who have not previously used Seacan Brokers & Forwarders Inc. for customs brokerage services);
  • Commercial import shipments entering Canada;
  • Customers who engage Seacan Brokers & Forwarders Inc. as their customs broker of record for the qualifying shipment.

This offer is not transferable and may not be combined with other promotions, discounts, or special pricing agreements unless expressly approved by Seacan Brokers & Forwarders Inc.

3. Shipment Conditions

To qualify for the free customs declaration, the shipment must meet all of the following criteria:

  • The commercial invoice value must be under CAD $100,000 (or the equivalent value in another currency at the applicable exchange rate);
  • The commercial invoice must contain no more than five (5) line items;
  • The shipment must be compliant with all applicable Canadian customs laws and regulations;
  • The importer must be a participant in the Release Prior to Payment (RPP) program with CBSA;
  • All required documentation must be provided accurately and in a timely manner.

Shipments that require complex classification, permits, special government agency approvals, inspections, examinations, or additional compliance work may be excluded from this promotion at Seacan Brokers & Forwarders Inc.'s discretion.

4. Exclusions

The free customs declaration does not include:

  • Duties, taxes, or government fees
  • Disbursement fees
  • Carrier, terminal, port, or warehouse charges
  • Storage, demurrage, or detention
  • Special handling, exams, inspections, or penalties
  • Corrections, amendments, or post-release adjustments
  • Consulting, tariff classification reviews, or trade compliance services

Any additional services requested by the customer will be billed according to Seacan Brokers & Forwarders Inc.'s standard rates.

5. Promotion Period

This promotional offer is valid starting April 6, 2026, and shall remain in effect until withdrawn or modified by Seacan Brokers & Forwarders Inc. at its sole discretion.

Seacan Brokers & Forwarders Inc. reserves the right to change, suspend, or terminate this promotion at any time, with or without prior notice, in accordance with applicable law. The promotion is only valid for qualifying shipments initiated while the promotion is active.

6. Right to Refuse or Withdraw

Seacan Brokers & Forwarders Inc. reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or withdraw this promotional offer if:

  • The customer does not meet eligibility requirements;
  • The shipment does not meet the stated conditions;
  • There is suspected misuse, abuse, misrepresentation, or fraud;
  • Required documentation is incomplete, inaccurate, or non-compliant with regulatory requirements.

7. Limitation of Liability

This promotion is provided “as is” and subject to the limitations of liability set out in our Terms of Service. Seacan Brokers & Forwarders Inc. is not responsible for delays, penalties, or costs resulting from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the customer or from actions by third parties or government authorities.

8. Governing Terms

These Promotional Offer Terms & Conditions are governed by and incorporated into our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. In the event of any conflict, these Promotional Offer Terms & Conditions shall prevail with respect to this promotion only.
